Baseboard
Baseboard is the trim board at the bottom of a wall where it meets the floor.
Why it matters
It protects walls from scuffs and helps cover small floor and drywall imperfections.

Tall baseboards can make a room feel more finished, but they must be proportioned. Baseboard height affects outlet and door casing details.
