Caulk (interior trim)
Caulk is a flexible sealant used to close small gaps between trim and walls.
Why it matters
Caulk makes trim look clean and helps block small air leaks, but it also needs to be done neatly.
Where people get this wrong
Caulk is not wood filler. Too much caulk looks sloppy and can crack.
Real-world example
A baseboard has a small gap at the wall and it catches your eye every time you walk by. A clean caulk line is the finishing touch that makes the room feel crisp.
Where this hits your build
This comes up during the finish phase. Lighting, angles, and personal expectations collide here. What looks fine at noon can look rough at dusk.
