Duct sealing
Duct sealing means closing leaks in duct connections so air goes where it is supposed to go.
Why it matters
Leaky ducts waste energy and can pull dusty or musty air from attics and crawlspaces.
Where people get this wrong
Duct tape is not a durable duct sealing method. Insulating ducts is helpful, but sealing leaks often matters more first.
Real-world example
A bedroom never gets enough air. The ducts look fine, but a big leak in the attic is dumping air before it reaches the room.
Where this hits your build
This affects daily comfort in every room. Problems often show up after move-in when certain rooms run hot, cold, or noisy.
Most people do not just struggle with terms. They struggle with the decisions tied to them.
